What is a Professional Organizer?

As defined by NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers), “Professional Organizers use tested principles and expertise to enhance the lives of clients. By designing custom organizing systems and teaching organizing skills, they help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper piles, their lives!”

What is the right way to organize?

There is no right way to organize. At Smish we believe the right way  is to customize according to your lifestyle. Every client has a unique personality, therefore, we will create a system that works best for you and/or your family.

How does the process work?

We start with a phone consultation to determine the scope of your organization needs. Next, we will set up a 30 minute consultation (at no charge) at your home so I can assess your situation and review your goals for getting organized. Then we make our first appointment and get started!

How long will it take?

The length of time to complete a project varies from client to client. It depends on the extent of the project and how quickly you are able to make decisions.

Do I have to be present when the organizer is working?

Yes, we would like you to be present during our organizing sessions. It is not just organizing your space, but is also teaching you how everything has it’s place. You ultimately have the final say, it’s your “stuff”.

What do I need to prepare for an organizing session?

No preparation required, we want to see your space exactly like you live so we can properly assess your situation.

How do you charge?

We charge hourly rates. There is a 3hour minimum per session.
Package pricing available.

What is your cancellation policy?

Smish Home Organizing requests a 48hour notice for all cancellations.
Cancellations made with less than 48hours will incur a cancellation fee.
